  12. Welcome to Inspire Remora, the Event Reminder, Calendar, and Program Scheduler
  13. all in one. It provides many features including:
  14.  
  15. * Events are shown once a day at bootup, or through the main program;
  16. * Events can be scheduled as Weekly, Monthly, Special Monthly, Recurring,
  17.   and Yearly;
  18. * A user defined warning period of the events occurance;
  19. * Old and past events are deleted automatically, optional being saved to a 
  20.   file;
  21. * Scheduled programs are run after a user specified period(in days) at bootup
  22.   (eg. Virus Scans, Defrag,...);
  23. * A useful calendar display that is colour coded for easy entering and view 
  24.   of events;
  25. * Old events are automatically removed, and optionally saved to a text file;
  26. * Can read EAZY for DOS *.CAL files and can work concurrently with it on 
  27.   a dual boot system (limitations exist however);
  28. * Events can be given special type flags, and also can have a duration time 
  29.   (days);

  35. New: Reoccuring Event Type. Now you can have bi-weekly events and also any
  36.      type of event that reoccurs after a set number of days.
  37. New: Custom Description of the event type. Instead of relying on the present 
  38.      event type you can choose your own.
  39. New: End time for the events
  40. Fixed: 1024*768 diplays not correctly positioning dialog elements(toolbar,
  41.        fields, fonts)
  42. Fixed: Some Event Editor Problems. Eg. Tab Order with US style dates, duration
  43.        not being set properly, etc. 
  44. Fixed: US Style dates not working in date calculator.

  60. before you legally must register. Registration not only assures this product 
  61. is constantly kept up-to-date but also includes special benefits. If you like

  85. Quick Installation
  86. ==================

  88. Copy the files from the archive to a directory. Then type "INSTALL" in that
  89. directory (to execute the 'INSTALL.CMD' REXX-Script).
  90.  
  91. If after 30-days you decide that you won't register Inspire Remora then a 
  92. uninstall script is included. Just run "UNINSTAL" from the REMORA directory.

  94. Note! Inspire Remora reminds of events at bootup, therefore a Program Object
  95. is installed into the startup folder. If you wish not to be told of events at 
  96. bootup then delete the icon from the "Startup" folder (found in the "OS/2 
  97. System" folder).

  100. NOTES ABOUT OTHER VERSIONS 
  101. ==========================

  103. * A DOS Version is available under the name "EAZY341.ZIP" which can be
  104.   found on the internet at the Simtel archives (look on archie.au, etc).
  105.  
  106. * No Windows Version is planned as it cannot provide some of the features 
  107.   and stability that OS/2 can. However I am flexible and will consider any
  108.   viable options.
